Install Adobe Reader on Fedora 34/33, CentOS/RHEL 8.3 - Comment Page: 10
This is guide shows, howto install Adobe Reader (Acrobat PDF Reader) current version 9.5.5 RPM on Fedora 34/33, CentOS 8.3, Red Hat (RHEL) 8.3. This method works on 64-bit architectures.

1. Change Root User
sudo -i
## OR ##
su -
2. Get Adobe Reader RPM package
cd /tmp
## English version ##
wget http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/9.x/9.5.5/enu/AdbeRdr9.5.5-1_i486linux_enu.rpm
3a. Install Adobe Reader (acroread) on Fedora 34/33
Note: On x86_64 bit system, 32-bit dependencies is also installed.

Yes, currently it does not work, i.e. I cannot download the file using http://ardownload.adobe.com, only with https://ftp.adobe.com (or ftp://ftp.adobe.com). And tried to download it via Firefox and via `curl`.
Therefore, I had to replace it with https://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/9.x/9.5.5/enu/AdbeRdr9.5.5-1_i486linux_enu.rpm (or ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/9.x/9.5.5/enu/AdbeRdr9.5.5-1_i486linux_enu.rpm).
Anyway, I have created a Bash installer script (for Fedora 29+ and CentOS/RHEL 7 only and without installing the browser plugin; actually tested on Fedora 32 only) which can be found here: https://gitlab.com/tukusejssirs/lnx_scripts/blob/master/bash_progs/acroread.sh
Actually, if I copy the http://ardownload.adobe.com URL and paste it in the location bar of Firefox, it does not work; it shows the following two lines:
An error occurred while processing your request.

However, I _click_ on the link you provided in this [1] comment of yours, it works. I have no idea why it does not work. I have double-checked if the URLs match and they do, but only other URL works all the time, therefore I would change the URL in the article to the other one.

The Adobe Reader installed does not recognize certificates from signatures. On Windows, they are recognized as valid (when ther are valid). How to solve it?
Does not work. How do I remove all the stuff you had me install & download

I’ve been struggling for days but I can’t get it installed. Could you please reach to me?
Error:
” nothing provides libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.so.0 needed by AdobeReader_enu-9.5.5-1.i486 ”
I tried to fix it myself by installing these other packages but I end up in a loop of required packages and crashing my machine.

Forgot to mention, I work on a Centos8.
On Fedora 31, following your instructions and then running acroread results in:
error while loading shared libraries: libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Fedora 32 x86_64 with mate / compiz, acroread launches successfully, but crashes immediately after clicking “File -> Open” (without error message when launched in terminal…).
If I drag a file into it, everything seems to work well.
right clicking PDF doesn’t launch acroread.
Any idea?
