    1. This doesn’t work for me on Fedora 29. I get libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have been unable to figure out how to resolve this issue.

    2. This is Awesome!

      Worked perfectly on Fedora 29.

Thank you. I have just added the configuration of Firefox to make my life even easier by doing:

      #### On Firefox:
      “`
      about:preferences
      -> then find for pdf
Portable Document Format PDF -> “Then here I have changed to Use Adobe Reader”
      “`

      All sorted!

      Thank you!!

    3. This was wonderful — easy to use.

I have a longstanding problem with non-embedded fonts for acroread on linux (I use fedora). Is there a mindless way to install all the fonts acroread could possible ever need?

    4. Does anyone know how to install libpangox-1.0.so.0 so AdobeReader will install on CentOS 7?

      .rpm file is already downloaded.

    5. Thanks. I followed your steps on a Fedora Core 29 machine and got this message when trying to run acroread:

/opt/Adobe/Reader9/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: error while loading shared libraries: libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

which I solved via an additional command:

      sudo dnf install gdk-pixbuf2-xlib.i686

    9. Does not work on Fedora 30. Installing dependencies get:

      Error: Transaction check error:
