Didn’t work for me, in late November 2020. For some reason, it could not autoconfigure the connection. Even when I manually configured the connection, it had trouble resolving the mirror’s address. Even when I manually entered the ip address of the mirror, it said it could not download the image file.
I use this exact same machine with the same network configuration, router, firewall, etc, every day without drama. Not sure what is wrong, and I doubt this will get fixed, being that CentOS 6 is out of support.
I’ve switched to devuan, and I’ve never been happier. The only reason I tried this was to be able to use ipmi to run a disk firmware flash, given that Toshiba does not have a version for devuan/debian.
