Hi, thank you for your guide.
How can I install nvidia(GEFORCE 610M) driver on Fedora 21?

With best regards.

You are welcome.

I haven’t published Fedora 21 nVidia install guide yet. I have hardware problems with my old good nVidia test PC. I’m just waiting new parts to get my guide tested with nVidia 304 drivers too.

But you could test Fedora 20 nVidia install guide with your card, because process should be very same (and rpmfusion repo install should work too, because it uses $(rpm -E %fedora)). I have heard some problems with 304 drivers and Gnome, but this shouldn’t affect you.

You could also report how it goes and I can even publish my guide if it’s working normally with your card.

I have a 60gb ssd and a 1TB 7200rpm could you give a little insight on how to best create, an install that takes advantage of the ssd speed and makes a persistent /home on the spinner

Hi KT,

Maybe best method is use 60GB SSD for boot / system and 1TB for Swap and Home.

So on step: 2.9 Select installation Destination and Partition Type

Select both disks and “I will configure partitioning”, then setup system partitions to SSD disk and other /home to the 1TB drive. If you have enough ram, then swap partition can be small (1-2 Gb because it’s rarely used) and on SSD or 1TB drive.

How can I get a set of DVDs or a bootable install CD and a full set of all FC21 packages so I can do a custom install?

I want to have all the repos locally (katello/satellite 6/httpd share) and the fastest way to import them would be via dvd. For fc20 this was easy and I can use the same media for any install I want like a desktop that has server bits like libvirtd, etc.

Why can’t they just have 1 or more everything ISOs?

Hi kavikumar,

You shouldn’t never login desktop environment using root/super user. So this is not issue, this is the way how Linux works. If you need super user then open console/command line and login as root.
