      • Hi Seba,

If you have device with screen orientation sensor, then orientation is automatically changed when you turn your device. With this button you can lock or unlock your screen orientation.

        • Thanks.

My screen has no rotation sensors.
          To fix found this:

          gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.orientation active false

But I did not work, I read in a page that iio-sensor-proxy service using the gnome for this type of display.

          We stop to try:

          systemctl stop iio-sensor-proxy.service

          and it worked.

Try turning off service (systemctl disable *.service), but could not turn off (started again when you restart).

          At the end use this:

          systemctl mask iio-sensor-proxy.service

This redirects the execution of the service to /dev/null

Mention this in case anyone has the same problem.

    1. Thanks for the great walk through!
I use an older PC for work and dual booted in order to speed it up.
I will definitely recommend this to my team.

      • Hi nav,

Where you see quit button only? Do you mean “begin installation” instead “finish configuration”?

    3. I did the install as described above, but obviously on my downloaded .iso there is no GUI included. At least I cannot start a GUI, because my installation ends at step 3.1. How is it possible to start the GUI now? “startx” does not work.
      Thanx,
      Patrick
