    1. Thanks a lot for a great guide!!! It took me around 1h:30min to finish it without previous knowledge.
Here are the outputs of the commands you asked for.

      (base) [[email protected] ~]$ nvidia-installer -v |grep version
      nvidia-installer: version 340.108 ([email protected])

(base) [[email protected] ~]$ uname -a
      Linux localhost-live 5.9.15-200.fc33.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Dec 16 19:14:35 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

      (base) [[email protected] ~]$ lspci |grep -E “VGA|3D”
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GT216GLM [Quadro FX 880M] (rev a2)

      P.S.
If you are using laptop connected to monitor, before you go to system LVL 3, it is smart to turn off monitor and just use laptop built-in display. I got a bit confused during this part, but once I turned off the monitor, restarted the laptop and used only a built-in display everything worked perfectly.

      • Hello Nash,

Nice to hear that you got everything working! And excellent tip to turn off external monitor when booting runlevel 3.

    2. Whenever I try booting right now I get two errors for a Nvidia kernel module missing and then it stops at Failed to start Light Display Manager [Nvidia Geforce 560ti, driver version 390.138]

      • Hello Phalen,

Do you have secure boot enabled on BIOS/UEFI? Did you have problems when you run NVIDIA installer?

    3. Hi All.

If you need it (like I did), I patched the 340.108 drivers to compile on the 5.10 kernel.

Download the package I built for my needs here:

      https://vcloud.voipster.org/index.php/s/nvidia-340-drivers

You can also download the .patch file there, if you want to do it yourself.

      Good lock! Have fun! :)

      Cheers,

      Andrew
