Kernel 6.0-rc5 + Fedora 36 + NVIDIA 515.65.01

This is quick guide howto install Kernel 6.0-rc5 on Fedora 36 with or without latest NVIDIA 515.65.01 drivers. If you have NVIDIA 515.65.01 already installed, then you still have to update your drivers with patched version. If you are not using NVIDIA and want install only Kernel 6.0 on Fedora 36 then skip whole step 1.

1. Install / Update NVIDIA 515.65.01 drivers

Follow NVIDIA drivers install guide.

Replace Step 2.8.2 command with following commands or update your installed drivers with patched version.

1.1 Download a patched version of NVIDIA 515.65.01 drivers

cd ~

mkdir NVIDIA

cd NVIDIA

wget -O inttf-nvidia-patcher.sh https://nvidia.if-not-true-then-false.com/patcher/inttf-nvidia-patcher.sh

chmod +x inttf-nvidia-patcher.sh

./inttf-nvidia-patcher.sh -v 515.65.01

1.2 Install / Update NVIDIA driver

Reboot to runlevel 3. Login and install / update NVIDIA drivers

./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-515.65.01-patched-kernel-6.0.run

2. Install Kernel 6.0-rc5 on Fedora 36

2.1 Change root user

su -
## OR ##
sudo -i

2.2 Enable inttf-testing dnf/yum repo

wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/inttf-testing.repo https://rpms.if-not-true-then-false.com/inttf-testing.repo

2.3 Update to Kernel 6.0

dnf update kernel*
## OR ##
dnf update

2.4 Reboot

reboot
