Howto Install Kernel 6.1-rc5 / 6.0.8 on Fedora 37/36

This is quick guide howto install Kernel 6.1-rc5 / 6.0.8 on Fedora 37/36. This kernel build will work with NVIDIA 520.56.06/515.76/470.141.03 (patched)/390.154 (patched)/340.108 (patched) drivers.

1. Install Kernel 6.1-rc5 / 6.0.8 on Fedora 37/36

1.1 Change root user

su -
## OR ##
sudo -i

1.2 Enable inttf and/or inttf-testing dnf/yum repo

Use here inttf.repo for kernel 6.0 and inttf-testing.repo for kernel 6.1. You can have both and use disable/enable repo parameter to switch between repos.

wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/inttf-t.repo https://rpms.if-not-true-then-false.com/inttf.repo

wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/inttf-testing.repo https://rpms.if-not-true-then-false.com/inttf-testing.repo

1.3 Update to kernel 6.1-rc5 or kernel 6.0.8

dnf update kernel*
## OR ##
dnf update

Install latest kernel from specific repo.

dnf install --skip-broken $(for i in $(dnf repoquery --installed kernel\* --qf '%{name}'); do echo $i-$(dnf --quiet --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=inttf repoquery --queryformat '%{version}-%{release}' kernel |sort -V |tail -1); done)

1.4 Reboot

reboot
