CentOS Stream Netinstall Guide – CentOS 8 Stream Installation Screenshots

This is CentOS 8 Stream installation guide, step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots.

The CentOS 8 is available for the following architectures

  • Intel/AMD 64-bit
  • IBM Power little endian
  • ARM 64-bit

On this guide I use Anaconda Graphical Installer and CentOS 8 Stream DVD ISO. You can alternatively use Stream Boot ISO or 8.0.1905 medias.

1. Before CentOS 8 Installation

1.1 Download CentOS 8 DVD ISO Image

Check closest CentOS mirror and download CentOS Stream Boot, DVD ISO or CentOS 8.0.1905 Boot/DVD ISO.

1.2 Burn CentOS Stream 8 Image to DVD, Create Live USB or use image directly

Burn image to DVD, create Live USB example with liveusb-creator, dd or use directly on virtual environment. And boot computer using CentOS 8 Installation Media.

2. CentOS 8 Installation

2.1 CentOS 8 Boot Option Menu

2.2 Select Language

2.3 CentOS 8 Installation Summary

2.4 Select Keyboard Layout

2.5 Select Language Support

2.6 Setup Network and Host Name

It’s better setup/enable network before date and time at this point, if you want use NTP.
